I am THRILLED to be a science teacher at El Capitan High School! I grew up in the Central Valley, earned my Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from UC Davis in 1996, joined the U.S. Peace Corps in 1997 and served 2 years as a volunteer in Honduras, then worked as a professional biologist for 10 years before pursuing a teaching credential and Masters degree from the University of Southern California. I have two children, an 11 year old daughter and an 8 year old son. I feel so lucky to be able to teach Biology and Chemistry at this incredible new school. Can't wait to see what the future holds.
